Then Len became very ill. His door remained closed once again.

I prayed and held my breath.
A saying goes like this, "You can plan the plans, but you can't plan the outcome." True? When?  Share an experience where this was true for you.

My experience with cancer is to make the best plans you can, but ALWAYS be prepared for all the inevitable unexpected twists and turns on the journey. It was one of the toughest lessons learned by this former control freak.

Dan, you recall the chapter in MM about my own cancer shock at age 39. You are SO right.......you have to change ways, let go. I have an easier time doing so now than I did then. Life teaches those lessons. A benefit of age?
